It?s all part of The New Salem Merchant?s Association annual ?Turkey Holidaze? promotion. A craft who will begin the day at 11 a.m. and run throughout the day as will a Chinese auction. And should you work up an appetite, that too can be addressed as old-fashioned hamburgers will be offered for sale throughout the day. There will also be activities for children before and after Santa?s visit. As in the past, New Salem merchants will be giving away 40 free turkeys and will also hold toy drawings for youngsters. Children ages 12 and under may be registered at the door on Saturday and names will be drawn later in the afternoon for free prizes. Winning a turkey has never been easier. All you have to do is sign the back of the ticket, deposit it in the box at the door and wait until the drawing. As in the past, only one turkey winner per household will be allowed.
