WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) --     wwg ó The Patriots came to town and put Red Rock on notice that they would be one of the teams to beat with a big first half against the Chargers. Penalties and turnovers spelled doom for the Chargers.

The Chargers started the game on offense but went three downs  and out. The Chargers punting from fairly deep in their own territory, with a good return, the Patís started at the 45 of the Chargers. Seven plays later the Pats scored their first score taking it in from the two. The 2 point conversion made the score 8-0 with 8 minutes to play in the period.     On the next series the Chargers started just inside the 30 yard line, and moved inside the Patís 30 where the drive stalled out and the Patís took over on downs. On the next play Patís back Isaiah Vis raced 71 yards for another  score. On the next series things really went bad when a bad snap turned into an interception by the Patís who ran it in for another touchdown with  28 seconds left in the quarter making the score 22-0 in favor of the Patriots.

    The Patriots didnít let up any in the second quarter scoring three times making the score 42-0.

     The Chargers, after the last touchdown by the Patís, had a fairly good drive at the close of the half. After a nice return by Nick Berg the Chargers started at the 38 of the Patís and moved the ball down to the 11 of the Patís. Then after two consecutive penalties time  ran out for the Chargers.

    The Patís scored two more times in the third Quarter upping their lead  to 56-0.

    The Chargers finally put together a nice drive with quarterback Anthony Ross picking up some good yardage on keepers down inside the Patís 20. Then with 15 seconds left in the quarter Ross connected with Kyle Kuehl for the score, and threw the two pointer to Matt Kleven.

    In the final quarter the two teams substituted heavily with the Charger JV squad dominating the Patís JVís.

With 2:58 to play quarterback Andrew Quade connected with Remmington Parker for the final  score  of the night making the final 56-14.

    Passing: Ross was 20 of 38 for 166 yards 1TD, 1XP and 1 Int; Quade was 2 of 3 for 27 yards and a TD.

    Receiving: Otto was 8 for 59 yards; Anthony Koch was 5 for 25; Kuehl was 2 for 31 and a TD; Kleven was 2 for 8, and a XP; Jack Jorgenson had 2 catches for 22 yards; Nick Berg had 2 for 14; Parker  had 1 catch for 20 yards and a TD.

    Rushing: Ross had 36 yards on  8 carries; Koch had 25 yards on 5 carries; Quade had 22 yards on 4 carries; Otto had 20 yards  on 8 carries.

    Matt Deprez had 2 punts  for 59 yards.

    Berg had two kick returns for 42 yards; Otto had 1 return for 22 yards; Koch had  2 returns for 12 yards; Quade had 2 for 10 yards.

    Defense: Jake Otto lead the team with 12 tackles; Ross had 9; Koch and Kuehl had 8; Kleven, AJ Quade, Cole Olson and Berg each had  5 tackles; Jorgenson had 4 tackles; and  Lincoln Anderson had 3 tackles.
