WESTBROOK, Minnesota (STPNS) --     WWG Charger Homecoming got off to a great start with the coronation kicking off the week last Monday.

    Student Council President Kenzie Weis welcomed the audience. Then Regan Truedson and Ian Mackie introduced the attendants, ushers, and homecoming king and queen candidates.

    Freshmen attendants were Emma Wahl and Jay Her. Sophomore attendants were Kelly Berglund and Nick Hang. Junior attendants were Makayla Ewy and Wyatt Christians. Ushers were Gracie Wahl and Andrew Quade.

    King and Queen Candidates were, Addy Beaty and Matt Deprez, Cassie Jackels and Lincoln Anderson, Theresa Merrick and Anthony Ross, Mariah Soleta and Abraham Her,  Lina Vue and Matthew Burns, Kenzie Weis and Kyle Kuehl.

    The seventh and eighth grade presented their skits, followed by a message  from the football coaches and captains. Followed by the freshmen and sophomore skits. Then  Joel Byers spoke on behalf of the soccer team. The juniors then performed their skit, followed by a message from volleyball coach Laleman and team captains. Then the seniors gave their skit prior to the crowning of the homecoming king and queen. Abraham Her was crowned homecoming king and Theresa Merrick was crowned homecoming queen.

    On Monday the classes worked on their skits, and floats on Pajama Day. Tuesday was Tie Die Day with an all school movie,  volleyball game, followed by the bon fire. Wednesday was Denim Day. Thursday was Tourist Day with games in the gym. Friday was Spirit day with the parade at 2:00  followed by a pep fest, with the homecoming game against Edgerton Ellsworth, and a dance following the game in high school cafeteria.
